Hi, FMIGers. Aaron Donaldson is a communications lecturer at Cal Poly Humboldt, a big fan of music and movies (among many other things), and an avid podcaster (https://player.fm/podcasts/aaron-donaldson). I’ve been a guest on a couple of his episodes, and he’s been a lot of fun to collaborate with. No renumeration, but I’ve liked including my contributions to his work on the “public music theory” part of my CV.
He just contacted me with an interest in bringing on an expert who could talk about Horner’s “danger motif” (you know: this Rachmaninoff redux) as he is hoping to “do a bit of a deep dive into what it might tell us about threat or villains.” I’m swamped, so I thought someone in the FMIG family might like to take this one, if you have the time and inclination. Aaron can be reached at Aaron.Donaldson@humboldt.edu; I’ve told him that someone might come calling.
With well wishes, -Scott
